Job Overview
Tiphaera Ziner Cohen is seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Support Worker (Home Support) to provide daily assistance to an elderly client in a private home setting in North York. This position is ideal for a patient, respectful caregiver who values dignity, consistency, and a calm approach to support. You will provide personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and assistance with regular exercise such as walking. Optional live-in accommodation is available at no charge, room and board are provided, and relocation costs are covered by the employer for candidates willing to relocate. • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Or equivalent experience

Experience

• 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience in home support, PSW/caregiver work, or elderly care

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Provide personal care support with respect for privacy, comfort, and dignity
• Assist in regular exercise such as walking, based on the client’s ability and routine
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to preferences and any dietary guidance provided
• Provide companionship and supportive conversation to promote emotional well-being and reduce isolation
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe, tidy, and comfortable home environment
• Observe changes in routine, appetite, mobility, mood, or overall well-being and communicate concerns promptly to the employer
• Support a calm, consistent daily routine and encourage independence where appropriate
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a private home setting

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
• Repetitive tasks
• Weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as required for household tasks and client support
• Ability to work independently while following established routines and instructions
