Responsibilities

• Change diapers and tend to the hygiene needs of infants and children
• Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas
• Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
• Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Prepare infants and children for rest periods
• Supervise and care for children
• Tend to the emotional well-being of children
• Cook meals as needed

Requirements

• Languages: English
• Education: College, CEGEP, or a non-university certificate/diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Work Environment

• Non-smoking environment
• Employer’s home setting
