Job Overview
Piscines J. Vaillancourt Inc. is looking for a reliable and hardworking Swimming Pool Installation Helper to join its team in Québec, Quebec. This seasonal, full-time position is suited to someone who enjoys practical outdoor work and is comfortable performing physically demanding tasks at different job locations. You will assist tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers with swimming pool installation activities, help move and handle materials, prepare work areas, and support the team throughout the installation process. No formal degree, certificate, or diploma is required, making this an accessible opportunity for candidates with practical skills and a willingness to learn. LMIA sponsorship is available for qualified international candidates, subject to applicable requirements.

Experience

• 1 to less than 7 months of relevant work experience
• Previous experience in construction, installation, landscaping, pool installation, general labour, or another hands-on trade environment is an asset
• Practical experience using basic hand tools or assisting skilled tradespeople is beneficial

Key Responsibilities (Tasks)

• Assist tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers with swimming pool installation activities as directed
• Prepare work areas and assist with materials required for installation projects
• Load, unload, carry, and position materials, tools, and equipment at job sites
• Help skilled workers complete installation tasks safely and efficiently
• Follow instructions from supervisors, tradespersons, and other experienced workers
• Assist with moving and handling construction and installation materials
• Keep work areas organized and free of unnecessary materials and debris
• Support the team with general labour duties throughout the installation process
• Help prepare tools and equipment for daily work
• Handle materials carefully to prevent damage and maintain an organized work site
• Follow workplace safety procedures and instructions at all times
• Assist with cleanup and general site maintenance after installation activities
• Work cooperatively with other team members to complete projects according to schedule
• Perform other general duties related to swimming pool installation and site preparation as required

Security and Safety

• Valid driver’s licence check may be required
• Ability to follow site-specific safety procedures and employer instructions
• Responsible handling of tools, materials, and equipment
• Ability to work safely around construction and installation activities
