Surrey Mama Midwifery Inc. is seeking dedicated and compassionate Nurse Aides to join our team in Surrey, BC. In this role, you will provide essential support to medical professionals and ensure high-quality care and comfort for patients. Responsibilities:

• Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling medical equipment
• Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment
• Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
• Provide personal care assistance
• Take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients
• Make beds and maintain cleanliness of patients’ rooms
• Supervise patients’ exercise routines
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Transport patients between care facilities
• Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers
• Respond to call signals to determine patients’ needs
• Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas
• Administer first aid in emergency situations

Requirements:

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
