Schlegel Villages is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide high-quality care and support to residents in our long-term care and retirement communities. As a PSW, you will play a critical role in ensuring the comfort, dignity, and well-being of residents while working in a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supply and empty bedpans
• Take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Serve meal trays and assist with feeding
• Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients
• Make beds and maintain cleanliness of patients’ rooms
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers
• Collect specimens for medical testing
• Administer first aid in emergency situations
• Provide personal care and companionship
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties
• Administer bedside and personal care
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks

Requirements:

• Languages: English
• Education: College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate/diploma (1 to 2 years)
• Experience: Experience an asset
• Work Setting: Nursing home/home for the aged

Credentials (Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, and Courses):

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
• First Aid Certificate
• CPR Certificate
• Nursing Aide Certificate
• Health Care Aide Certificate
• Personal Support Worker Certificate
