Shift/Schedule: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Morning
Ivan Mishchenko is looking for a compassionate and skilled Personal Support Worker to provide home support services in a rural setting. This role involves assisting clients with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities to enhance their quality of life. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with disabilities and special needs.
Responsibilities
- Administer bedside and personal care
- Administer medications
- Assist clients in water (e.g., pool)
- Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene
- Assist in regular exercise, such as walking
- Change non-sterile dressings
- Collect specimens
- Demonstrate infant care to new parents
- Feed or assist in feeding
- Launder clothing and household linens
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Provide companionship
- Provide personal care
- Shop for food and household supplies
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Requirements
- Languages: English
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in a related role
- Work Site Environment: Non-smoking
- Work Setting: Rural area, staff accommodation available, work in employer’s/client’s home

- Community Disability Studies Certificate
- Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training
