Transport Driver Is Urgently Needed In KAR Global – Toronto, ON

Job Details

As a Transport Driver, you will be assigned to drive a variety of vehicles to & from our vehicle logistic centers (ADESA locations), providing our customers with local pick up & delivery services. You may also provide assistance with inventory moves within the ADESA lot.
This is a casual position, typically scheduled for 2-4 shifts per week depending on business volume. Hours may range from 8am – 6pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities include:

• Drive vehicles to and from designated areas, as well as pick up and deliver vehicles while observing auction driving rules, rules of the road, demonstrating courteous and defensive driving principles.
• Accurately input data using CarsArrive app pre/post delivery.
• Must be safety conscious and ensure that vehicle is road-worthy by checking tires, fuel, lights, signals & brakes using our pre-trip safety process.
• Report all incidents properly and immediately per established procedures.
• Represent the auction in a professional and efficient manner while providing excellent customer service and demonstrating teamwork May be assigned to work in the yard to assist with vehicle inventory moves & lot turn.
  Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Satisfactory drivers’ abstract & criminal record check required.
• Ability to drive a standard transmission preferred.
• Basic computer & smartphone skills required.
• Must be comfortable driving long distances (up to 2.5 hours one way).
• Must be comfortable driving in all weather conditions.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, as our shifts may vary based on business volume.
