If you’re looking for a challenging position with one of the world’s leading snack food companies, here’s your chance to join our team as a Maintenance Resource with our Taber, AB site in a 4 on/4 off working rotation.
As a critical contributor to the Operations Team, the Maintenance Supervisor takes part in setting the agenda and executing the strategy of the Business Unit, and holds responsibility for all site plant operations during their assigned shift, as well as for the activities of several adhoc teams. The Maintenance Supervisor will also enable their teams to achieve the Business Unit expectations in our People, Quality, Service and Cost Key Performance Measures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring a safe and satisfying work environment for our frontline staff
  • Ensuring compliance with company and regulatory food safety standards
  • Ensuring the quality of our product
  • Ensuring service compliance to internal and external customers
  • Ensuring our financial plan goals are achieved
  • Conducting regular frontline 1w1 conversations and providing developmental coaching
  • Coaching, mentoring, training and development of teams and individuals
  • Supporting Team Facilitators, Team Leaders, Site Expert Trainer(SET) and Key Performance Metric (KPM) Experts in their roles
  • Conducting Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) compliance audits and behavior based safety observations
  • Assisting teams in Flightpath action items, Capital Projects and our Business Planning Process
  • Executing Running Patrols and in case of deviation from targets assists the Team to remove any obstacles to achieve excellence
  • Attending Operations, Cost, Run Right Process, and Team Meetings
  • Role modelling for behaviors based on our PepsiCo Values and Leadership
  • Applying the guidelines and expectations indicated in the Employee Manual
  • Shared responsibility with department to manage financial plan
  • Leading regulatory and performance venues effectively
  • Ability to work with contractors and to ensure work place permits qualifications are met
  • Shared responsibility with department managers to effectively manage Maintenance department processes and work flow


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • 1-3 Years of experience in a Production/Warehouse environment
  • Understanding Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or equivalent software
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to team development and a strong team player
  • Previous team leadership experience and demonstrated measurable results through others
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to understand the whole business in-depth
  • Good statistical and mathematical aptitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong computer and systems skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
